The Perks of Being a Loyal Customer to Any Boutique
Posted on 18 April 2016
If you’re a fashion addict, you may think of your closet as an investment. Seriously, it’s an investment in many ways. We ladies search and search for the perfect top, dress, shoes, etc. Our overall goal is to find clothes that make us feel our very best while becoming a mouthpiece for how we want to be viewed. With all of that effort going into our investment, we should try to get the most we can out of our purchases.
How can you get the most out of your purchases? There are so many programs that stores offer because they want loyal customers. If you find a boutique that you love, here are some of the many options that will help you save money on those clothes that you adore.
Emails: Almost every store offers some sort of deal to sign up for their email list. Why are they willing to do this? The answer is simple. It gives customers the chance to see what each boutique has to offer at a discount. Boutique owners are proud of what they do and want to become your favorite place to shop. Some people wind up missing out on more specials because they unsubscribe after the initial discount code is sent. What many don’t realize is that email is a form of communication that boutiques use to let the customers know about upcoming deals and new inventory. We are just as loyal to you as you are to us. We know that if you’re willing to open up our emails and shop with us, you deserve specials that regular traffic shouldn’t get.
Rewards Programs: While not every store offers these programs, they are a huge benefit to you the customer if you plan on shopping with the boutique regularly. Again, the incentive is to create a sense of community and show appreciation for coming back regularly to us. Avady Clothing Company offers a rewards program and still has many repeat customers who don’t take advantage of the program. That’s leaving money on the table for you! You can get discount codes or money off, depending on the program. It’s definitely worth the time to check out any rewards programs that your favorite boutique offers.
Facebook Groups: If you love a particular boutique, see if it has a Facebook group. This is different than a Facebook page. Why are so many small business owners creating groups? Because the Facebook algorithm has changed, leaving many small businesses without the same interaction as it had before. Our group is amazing, and it’s a great way to interact and create a sense of community. It’s an opportunity to have a voice in inventory (we conduct polls). We do giveaways that are exclusive to our group members, and most importantly, we offer a discount on EVERY purchase made by members of our group. While I’m speaking only of our group, I know that many boutiques offer the same perks to its group members.
Sale Collection: This is for those fashionistas that know what they want in future seasons. Boutiques want to move the inventory and get new styles. If you really want to stretch your budget, check out the sale section (sometimes, there’s even a discount on those prices). What you need to keep in mind, though, is that you shouldn't wait to order in the sale section. It is an unpredictable strategy that can leave you lusting and bummed. But, by all means search it out and find something that you love.
Become a Brand Rep: What’s a Brand Rep? It’s a program offered by some boutiques for those who are truly into a particular boutique. While each program is different, many offer purchases at a discount as long as you’re posting pics wearing the clothes on your social media platforms. Many even create a discount code for those who follow the Brand Rep. It’s a little gift for you to offer your followers.
